My profile
My name is Darna Williams, I am a dedicated and experienced practitioner, having qualified in 1993. It is has been my commitment to social care and the children and families I have worked with, that has kept me working in this arena for over 30 years. During this time, I have worked with many different authorities in roles from a social worker, social work management through to
independent reviewing officer, both as an employee and as an ISW.
My practitioner experience includes but is not exhaustive of completing parenting assessments, parents assess reports, section 7 and 37 reports, Together or Apart assessments, risk assessments, viability and connected persons assessments, special guardianship assessments, age assessments and child permanence reports. As well as completion of these assessments, I am also an experienced auditor and can provide quality assurance of such work.
My strengths include the relationships I can form with both the children, families and professionals I work alongside using my strong communication skills, and the knowledge base I have built upon as a longstanding practitioner. I have excellent organisational skills and time management skills as well as a verifiable background of providing high quality, analytical and balanced assessments.
Ongoing commitment to my professional development has allowed me to keep up to date with internal and national policy. This alongside ongoing training enables me to have update knowledge of how to achieve the best outcomes for the children and families I work with.
